Got another phone call (5:14pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.
They, of course, left no message.
I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a year now.
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)
I'm going to
http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
AND to
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.
(Yes I will go through all those steps.) [I have also bookmarked these URL's.]
We should all pile on.
Caller ID said Premier Medical, I thought it was legit so I answered the call, it was a recording about my Credit Card saying that currently there is no problems with my Credit Card ... I do NOT have any Credit Cards ... SCAM, so hungup!
I had the same thing happen to me... Caller ID said Premier Medical 601-206-6011. When I answered, I heard the same recording about "currently there are no problems with a Credit Card". I pressed option "1" to talk to an customer service person, and when I politely asked that person to take my phone number off their call list, he hung up on me. REALLY? When I called the number back it was disconnected. Who can I report this to so we can put a stop to this kind of fraud?
Ditto the above. I thought it was legit because of the Premier Medical caller ID, but they started with a recording about my Credit Card saying that currently there is no problems with my Credit Card. At that point, I knew it wasn't legit and hung up.
I had a call, too, with a similar message (something about my account being fine). When I googled the name (Premier Medical) with part of the number, I found a real medical group with a phone number that is very close: http://www.premiermedicalgroup.net/index.cfm/ ... sonnel/1115.cfm,
It makes me wonder if their number has been hacked (their number is 601-206-6100).
