Called my DNC registered landline. No voicemail.
I've seen a lot of "Survey" on CID this week that weren't answered and left no voicemail. Apparently that's the new way of attempting to skirt the DNC law by calling it a survey. Maybe they ask a few questions like the solar panel scam before trying the sales pitch.
Answered the call. It was someone from the Dealer Warranty Service Center notifying me that my warranty was about to expire. They asked me to verify my information by stating the year, make, and model of my car. I told them that you called me, so you tell me what they year, make and model is. They said that they would call back when I was ready to give that information.
This is an IRS scam call. The IRS does not contact you by phone and they do not file law suits. They contact you by mail and try to work out a payment arrangement. Do not fall for this scam!
