answered to a recording to press 1 if interested in lowing my interest rate on my credit cards. Stated the company is card services. Since I already know that this is more than likely a scam I played along (its so much fun). A Gentleman answered and didn't ask for my name or any information just asked me if I want to lower my interest rates, I said "HECK YES I DO! what credit card are you calling about? " he responds " your visa ma'am" I reply " I don't have a visa, your odds are going to fall to 50% if you guess the next one wrong" he states no your master card ma'am" so i stated "oh good you guessed right the second time. what card are you calling about in particular?: his response was master card, lol. I asked if he can compete with a 2% interest rate and he said YES! i just wanted to start laughing out loud. So he asked what balance I carry on them. I told him I monitor my cards very closely and never carry a balance, so technically my interest is 0 and asked him if he could compete with that. He said sure can I have your card number to locate you in the system. So I responded, and said sure but only if you can tell me my first name that is on the card. He mentioned that he cannot see my information at the moment but if I give him my card information he would be able to locate my account. So I told him thank you for hanging on the phone long enough to allow me to trace the IP address that he was calling from and the location that he was at and told him if he was really with a valid company they would know I work for the FBI and ironic enough I specialize in the international money laundering before I could finish he hung up. This is a phishing scam please don't fall for it and remember never provide your CC information or SSN over the phone :)
