The caller ID showed "NOT IN USE". Unfortunately I didn't notice it before I picked up as I was waiting for a call from a friend. If I had noticed I wouldn't have picked up. Anyway it was a lady supposedly from the Breast Cancer something or other. She asked for me by my first name. Given the fact that the caller ID didn't identify the caller properly I assumed it was some sort of scam. Also given that the caller id showed NOT IN USE I assumed that they meant that my phone should not be in use so I hung up on the caller mid-sentence. Sorry about my attempt at humor. Guess I just wait for them to call again so I can play them the 3 tone phone company line disconnected message.
I also got this call. It was raising money for breast cancer research and they do not want to take no for an answer. I hung up, I will not give money over the phone. When I say that they usually hang up on me.
