Automated call, cheesy electronic voice, indicating my visa credit card from a company (Vantage) which I do not have a card with had been de-activated. Asked me to enter 16 digit credit card number to have it re-activated. I hung up.
I received a call from this number, saying that it was Railroad Federal Credit Union, that my Visa debit card had been temporarily disabled, and that I should press 1 for the security department. I hung up and called my actual bank, who verified they had not placed the call and my card is working normally.
9-21-10 AT 12:05AM I received a phone call, automated type, that identified itself as a RR credit union and that my visa card had been temporarily suspended, and if I didn't wont it suspended to press one and enter my 16 digit number....I'm a southern old man, 79, but I didn't fall off the cabbage truck from MIssissippi....
