Received a call from this number from a man who said he was the local Sheriff's Office...said the judge had signed a bench warrant for my arrest because I did not show up in court for a traffic.  He said I could take care of it or they would come get me.  I repeatedly told him I had not gotten a ticket.  He finally said "Give me your birthdate and I will see what I can find out" so like an old 70 year fool (Yes I knew better but it scared me) I gave him my birthdate and later even gave him my ss#.  Then they opened up a credit card at Capitol One in my name.  Of course it is now shut down and I just hope they didn't do any othert damage before their scam was caught.  I have taken all the necessary actions and just waiting now to hopefully find out who is doing this.  They did sound like an experienced scamster and was convincing but the phone number comes back to a local Verizon Wireless so I'm wondering if they are local and have an idea who might be doing this but don't know for sure yet.
