This person called....well, a recording....looking for David Mancuso. It claimed to be from the office of Rex McRaney....a local attorney. Said if this was not the number for David Mancuso to press '1'. So I did. then a live person asked for the number that I was calling from. I told them they called asking for David Mancuso and that this was not a phone number for him. Then the guy says "we're looking for ....(my name) and is that you?" I repeated, "This is not the number for David Mancuso." and hung up. Immediately I got another phone phone that registered as "UNKNOWN NUMBER". I didn't answer it.
Is this a supposed new way of tracking down people?
I received a few calls from this number. When I finally answered, I couldn't understand what the girl was saying. She was not from here and did not speak English very well at all. I finally hung up when I couldn't even understand where she was calling from or who she was looking for.
I received 5 calls from this number within 2hrs. When I called back a woman who couldn't speak English very well ask me to give her the number that called, so I did. I repeated 1-601-680-0857 3 times to her and each time she would tell me that number wasn't in her computer database. I just hung up the phone when she refused to tell me who she was!
