tired of getting calls from this number as well as other automated system calls. normally i ignore them but today i picked up & as soon as i did an automated voice said, "goodbye" & hung up on me! are they phishing me? how do i block all these unwanted companies? i have read on some people's comments about turning #'s in &/or being on a list but where do i go to take care of it? in case it is different from state to state, i'm in texas.
It's (more than likely) a debt collector doing skip tracing. Tell them the next time they call you are NOT giving out any personal identifying information over the phone. If they persist, demand the name of their company along with a legitimate, physical mailing address in which to send a cease communication letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested. If they refuse, let them know you will be seeking legal counsel who will get the information for you and hang up.
This is all I could find: https://www.phonedetective.com/PD.aspx?_act=preview&_pho=6017930200 about the number, which identifies it as a landline phone in Dekalb, MS.
