They claim to be Microsoft Technician Department. Stating I had malware on my computer. After several minutes trying to get my number removed. They became rude and said give them 140.00. Of course I laughed then they said they were doing something with my wife. I asked the name of the company they worked for, but they wouldn't give it. I hope this post helps someone.
Received a call from this number over the last couple of days but when I answered, they hung up. Today, the guy asked for Susan and I said there was no one here by that name. He repeated my phone number and I said that was right and he said Susan, why are you doing this to me. I said, I am not Susan. He said again, why are you doing this to me, I have known you for the past four years and I Love you. I said for the third or fourth time that I was not Susan and hung up. Call came from Poplarville, MS.
Got a call from this number stating he was a Microsoft Technician. He said I have malware on my computer that the could wipe out for $180.00. At that point I unplugged my computer and hung up. Our computer tech-savvy son said this is a scam and that they are now holding our computer ransom..we have no capability now of accessing our computer. Beware!!
If you find yourself here reading these comments, you can be assured that this call is an attempt to rip you off. This one is from a disorganized bunch of ignorant con-gamer wannabe's, who try a variety of telephone scams.
The person who called knew my city and possibly my last name. He called saying I had a problem on my windows machine. We do not have any windows computers so I knew he was a phony. I told him we don't have any Windows computers in our house. He said, "That is a white lie." I said, "What?" since I was confused that he was calling it a white lie. He says, "That is a white lie. That is a f-cking lie." He had an Indian accent and sounded like he was talking through a voice anonymizer(?). So I couldn't believe he used such a word. I told him he should not be using those words with customers. He said, "You're not my customer. You need to pay me $100 to get the malware off your computer."
