I had renewed several phones on Do Not Call.gov. Apparently that's now a list to gather & use good #'s because the # of calls doubled. This call was for a warranty on a truck we haven't owned for a few years. It's too bad dealerships sell your # to these pests. I'll try not giving a # from now on.
I'm never surprised by any post being trolled any more. You assume I didn't read before registering phones. I assure you I did. It supposedly been working for many years however not many bother to honor it now. This call should be tagged and complained about because they are telemarketers. Our dealership sold our info nationally. Do not call means NO telemarketing after 30 days of registering. I hope you're able to read and understand this explanation. Go troll FB. They're easier targets.
The problem is NOT the Do Not Call list, it's that most of these calls come from overseas using "spoofed" US area codes and numbers. The Do Not call list only works with numbers that come from within the U.S. borders. These calls, even though some have American telephone numbers and American sounding telemarketers, are actually coming from Nigeria, Liberia, Romania, and other countries. Your phone provider probably lets you list up to 20 numbers on the block list. That list needs refreshing ever 90 days or so (each provider is different ~~ check with yours to see what they offer), or you can buy a call-blocking app that blocks a much larger number of calls. Google Call Blocking Devices or something like that and check them out.
