I just got this same phone call a few minutes ago. It came up on the caller ID at a private call. "Tom Moore" claimed he needed my fax number, and when I wouldn't give it to him, he gave me the name of Terrance Hill and the phone number 602-569-9081. He said he was a private investigator hired to investigate my company and he needed to serve me some papers. I'm glad I saw your response! Must be a scam.
A man called from this number claiming he was hired to conduct a preliminary trial investigation. He said name was Tom Moore. He left a number for Terrance Hill who supposedly initiated the claim. I called the number and got a voicemail of a man who didnt state a name but just that he was on the other line with a client. I googled the name Tom Moore and called the number and the company who answered said they've received several calls from people claiming the same as I and that they did not contact me. This is a scam!
