Has to be a robo call because the number called 3 times in a row. Every other day I get calls that appear to be local but I do not recognize and always get 3 calls in a row
Call multiple times in a row. Finally answered and it was a robot - waiting for an answer when they say "can you hear me okay?" Claimed to be from the "gifting department." No clue what that is supposed to mean.
It is a scam, after you say yes or no to the hear me question they hang up and dial again, someone would answer offering a trip you won, just have to pay the expedition fee and taxes for tickets
Be careful with these 'recorded line' calls. When they say they are 'calling on a recorded line' and ask, "can you hear me okay?" - if you answer "YES" - it may be used against you, as they now have your "permission" recorded. This is an old trick from the long-distance telecom sales days... you get someone to say 'yes' and you can go ahead and change their long-distance carrier... claiming you heard them say yes at one point in the conversation.
