Rec'd call from a new "Fraternal Order of Police" scammer that hasn't shown up before (Caller ID actually said AZ F.O. POLICE). They use so many different Caller IDs and phone #s that it's hard to keep track of them! The phone # being used by this one is no where close to the actual phone # for the real FOP in Phoenix, so I assume it's just another scammer. Didn't answer and didn't let it go to voicemail. VERMIN!!!
This is the same exact phone scam that has been going on for several years now. The call is not really from any police organization or related charity. They called me today from this new # with the official looking caller ID (that they had not used on me before). They were friendly and wanted a donation via credit card. I have been getting these calls for years and for some reason I picked it up today without even looking at the caller ID (my bad). Needless to say I hung up once the pitch started. DO NOT GIVE IN TO THIS ABSOLUTELY BOGUS call for money. Again, this is a well known scam that keeps changing phone numbers and caller ID's. The real Fraternal Order of Police does not solicit donations over the phone.
I have been getting calls from this and "No Caller Id" that claim to be from the Fraternal Order of Police, specifically Ken Daughtry. They hang up on me when I tell them to stop calling me.
