1 603 250 6538 called while I was at a NARFE division meeting. They spoke to my spouse and said that my grandson was in a car accident and that he was being held at the police station and was being represented by an attorney. The attorney said that he was going to put my grandson on the phone and the speaker's voice sounded like my grandson. My spouse said that "that they plan to call back later and ask for my credit card. I suspected a scam so I called both of my sons. My grandson was with my older son. I called the number back the voice was broken up. I called them a bunch of "criminal scammers".
