A telemarketer that started this way, earlier than the normal 4 rings: "Two-night get away to one of the twenty destinations across the US. All's you have to do is stay on the line and complete a short survey".
The call then went off, as if it had reached the 4-ring end.
Robo voice said because I had registered to vote the US Census was giving me a FREE trip. Stay on the line to answer a short survey. Q1 could i see trump as the next US Pres. 1 for yes or 2 for no. I just waited. Next Q could I see Hilary as the next US Pres. 1 for yes or 2 for no. I just waited. They asked again. I waited and the call disconnected. Baha the Census is giving away trips?!
Correction: 11:13AM. I did report this to the FTC. I checked out the link above and got a site for travel agents www.ytb.com which claims it is registered with the state of Florida. But then I see this in a google search: "Has anyone booked through YTB travel? Did you have any issues? I've googled them and 'scam'/pyramid scheme keeps popping up but that relates to getting people to sign up to be a travel agent for them (kind of like how Avon works). We're about to book a trip and a friend of ours 'works' with YTB. We would not be signing up to be agents, simply booking our travel through them. [etc]"
