After a nasty divorce I had to file bankruptcy on old debts and even have unlisted number. I started getting calls from this number several weeks ago and when I answer i get recording saying "please hold for important phone call" and then nothing. No one ever comes on phone. They will not leave any message and will call at all hours of day and night. I called attorney who informed me I have zero debts, he believes its crooked collection agency who is trying to see if they can trick me into sending money for old debt that is gone.
This is scumbag Ebay collecttions compant called IC collections.
If you are getting calls from the a*holes just block their calls. They are not going to stop if you tell them they have the wrong number, send them them a certified letter, report them to do not call list or report them to your attorney general.
If you have a home phone all you need to do is get a phone with caller id block. Uniden and Panasonic make them now. The uniden I have does not even ring once, just blocks their calls. If they call on your cell and you do not have caller id block, just save them as a contact and set their ringtone to no ring.
THey keep calling me at 630 am it is illegal to call people that early and I WILL NOT BE paaying them any money either it is [***] to be calling people at 630 in the morning. I may have an east coast number but have not lived there in ten years and this debt they are collecting is from a california place so why are they calling me at 630 my time instead of 9am my time it is [***] and these people need to go away.
All the sudden they want to collect after ten years of owing them money and the original company never tried to? SHady thats what I say shady. They are afraid of being taken over by the real people not the greedy money grubbing corporations that they are.
As well what happened to the big corp bail outs I believe that was to cover my debt and we know that al corporations are pretty much run byt the top three banks and the federal reserve owns it all. Stop taking money from the poor and give it to them you greedy money hungry jerks. Stop the calls at 630 am......
This number has called me every day since April 21st. Every time they are looking for a different person. Finally I got fed up and told the man that he needed to get his supervisor on the phone immediately, he told me "there was no one available." I replied that I needed to speak with someone now and he needed to get up and get his supervisor out of their office or transfer my call to them in order to resolve my concerns. He again told me "no one is available," and he is sure that my number is being processed to be taken off of their calling list but it may take 24-48 hours. I said it had been for days and my number was obviously still in their system and not being taken off their calling list. I was then ignored and hung up on. As a former short-lived telemarketer and current sales associate, all I can say is what horrible customer service!
Call them back at 800 279-9048 or (651) 483-8201 and tell them to stop calling.
If they continue to call, write a "cease and desist" letter and mail it "certified" mail...keep your receipt.
If you're feeling mischievous, talk to one of their reps and waste as much of their time as you can. Never act mad, annoyed or pestered... because that's what they want.
Before they hang up, tell them that you're looking forward to hearing from them again.
I've even gone as far to call them just to let them know that "the check is in the mail" LOL.
