Charities are NOT telemarketers, so no use in grumbling about being on the Government's Do Not Call List.
I believe that this is a definite scam. She wanted to know how much I could be counted on for support of Breast cancer. There was nothing like hello how are you today. When I asked what percentage of the contribution actually goes to help breast cancer and what goes to administrative costs, there was no response. She just kept on repeating what she said. I then said why can't you answer my question? Still no response. I then told her that I did not want to contribute then, and she hung up. Very rude and not professional!
May not have even been a live caller, just a semi-sophisticated voice recognition program. The total silence when you asked a perfectly legitimate question and then the same question from her again is a sure sign of that.
