Calling about free diabetic supplies. I was ok with that until she got to the part about needing the last four digits of my SS #. She said they need it to pair me up with the appropriate provider. That didn't make sense to me, I told her as such. I added that I would need to talk to my husband before giving out any part of my SS #.
It is good you are wary of giving out your ss# but they cannot do anything with only the last 4 numbers,besides verify your identity. If they are asking for the last 4 then they allready have your ss# on file.
