Man wanted to speak with a specific manager. I asked what in reference to, but he evaded the question. I explained that managers' calls must be screened, and he said, "Manager of what?" Then he stated the correct department, so why was he demanding the title? We danced around, and finally he declared, “I’ll get my information somewhere else” before hanging up. Okay, this has been going on more than four months. What's this guy's problem?!
Unknown party from Teltek or Teltech asking for someone who left the company years (I mean YEARS) ago then requested the name of the CEO. When advised all public information is available on the website, did not seem to be pleased to hear that she would have to actually do her own research.
Calls daily. We've instructed that someone would call back if we were interested (knowing it's just a telemarketing call). Rude, raspy voiced lady. Harasses our receptionist constantly.
Man wanted to speak with a particular executive. When I inquired regarding the purpose of the call, he said, "And you asked me that because . . . ?" I replied that Mr. X was an executive; therefore, his calls were screened. He retorted,
"Doesn't he have an assistant?" Before I could say anything further, he responded, "Never mind," and hung up.
