Since I've switched to a cell phone, installed the PrivacyStar app, and added digits of area codes to block, 99.9~% of all incoming unwanted calls are now blocked. I go to the app>Settings>Advanced>Group Block. There I add the first one to four digits of the telephone number (blocking entire area codes and the way I do it 99.9% of any possible number cannot call me; 99.9% of those blocked calls are spam calls for me). The only area codes I have unblocked in the entire nation are ones I expect calls from. The app makes it easier and quicker to file complaints, and according to the app site the complaints go to the FTC.
