Man and woman with accents have each called twice for the same IT manager, who isn't at this location, regarding cloud computing. They deny introducing their company but are obviously soliciting, so I transfer them to Purchasing. Perhaps eventually, they'll take the hint.
Male from Indian decent; calls & request if he is speaking with 'named' individual. Asked him what the call was regarding; asked again whom he was talking to. Again, inquired what the call we regarding.... Caller never identified and hung up.
Concerned they could be attempting to verify personal detail, current employment location, etc.
Caller left no message, just kept hanging on line until it timed out. When I pressed my voicemail option for envelope info, it indicated the call was made at 3:15 a.m.!
A woman and a man, with accents (perhaps Indian), have each called a few times trying to verify my work info so they could send me an IT White Paper. They seemed to have an understanding of the organizational unit title I'm working for from our SAP system -- the interesting thing is the Org Title in SAP is wrong and they were using that title and this title is not publically exposed data.
