From "Health Insurance Market Place". All my family is covered, so why are they calling to let me know that i can get help 24/7 if I have questions needing help. I don't know who they are.
I'm not sure who they are either. It sounded like they were calling about the exemption form I filled out due to the fact that the government has said I cannot have affordable insurance due to my age. They don't want me to have a policy with a high deductible, but that's all I can afford (thanks to the new law). They told me I'd have to go to the health care web site to print another exemption form for my son and my husband and to submit proof (like W2s, tax returns) that I cannot afford more expensive coverage. I'm now wondering if I should have provided personal information to them, as it could have been a scam. The lady said I needed to prove who I was before she could talk to me about the exemption.
Got a call from this number, they were identifying themselves as the Health Insurance Marketplace; which I was immediately suspicious of. I asked the agent and all she would give me is her name and "agent ID" and an assertion that actually was calling from the Health Insurance Marketplace.
I voiced my concerns, told her I didn't know they gave calls out or callbacks, and pretty much said in so many words that I distrusted the phone call and why. She was fortunately polite and offered to put me on a list so they wouldn't call me again...we shall see how that goes. Anyways I'll be aiming to NOT deal with people over the phone; I'd much rather interact with the website when I can. Or if it is a phone call...I would prefer to initiate it, not them.
Overall; I have to say not enough information to deem this number dangerous or spammy; but be wary. I do not know the identity of this caller beyond what I was told and cannot vouchsafe their authenticity.
I generally do not bother with answering calls from unfamiliar numbers, but when I googled this number and saw that it might be connected with the marketplace, I called back only to get a recording that said this number is not accepting incoming calls. We already have health insurance, so not sure why they are calling.
I got a call from this number. They asked me about my proof of income if I have sent it in. I mailed it to them. The same day that I mailed it, they called me from 606-260-4191. I tried to call it back but the message came on saying that they were not receiving incoming calls. I am very worried about this Obamacare thing. They sent me something from London Kentucky asking me to mail in all my w2's and 1099's to show my proof of income. I mailed it in. I hope I am not being duped. I called the phone number on the document that requested my stuff and the lady started asking me for my home address, birth date, social security number, and said that she could not look up my information if i didn't give her my birthdate and social. I don't like how this feels at all. I am afraid that the big government is trying to get so far deeply into our lives that they can control who can and can't get health insurance and health care.
