This number calls 4 or 5 times a day and does not answer when we pick up. No one answers when we call back or the number is always busy
... what a PIA they are.
Someone from this number has called three times today. Twice, left no message. This time I picked up and said hello, there was a long silence, and then a recording (woman's voice) said, Goodbye" and hung up. I tried calling several times, either received a busy signal or no answer.
You've all made the mistake of calling back. Once you do that, the scammer knows your phone number is live. The call they make to you, where they hang up and don't leave a message, is the bait they use in their phishing attempt to snag a person to scam. Now that they know your numbers are "live," they can sell or share your number with other scammers.
Two simple rules: Don't answer calls from unknown numbers. Don't ever call back.
As others have reported Repeated Calls If you answer the call, no one speaks & call is terminated by them...... Luckily I did not call them back to request to be placed on their "DO Not Call" list. Instead I used the computer to research their # & was informed it was part of a scam to phish us...... Number to ignore is 606 599-0215 My caller ID showed that number & "unavailable" Hate to hear the phone ring, but unfortunately our system, which is suppose to either drop the caller or switch to voice mail failed to do ether one .. That is why I finally answered the call, but thanks to your input, I did not call them to request they stop calling!
