Criminals do not care about you nor the do not call list. NEVER CALL THE NUMBER BACK. They spoof/fake/hide/disguise their caller ID to doop you. They will absolutely NOT, take you off their list. They are criminals. ROBO calls are illegal by the way. Faking caller ID and number is illegal. If you receive a robo call, just ignore it or hang up. They aren't a company, they won't put a sign in your yard and they aren't affiliated with the FBI. All they are are criminals looking to steal. Be smart people.
If the caller is outside your calling area or if you don't recognize the call, ignore it. But NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. Know your laws folks. Never give out personal information over the phone. Pressing any button to take you off their list is useless. THEY ARE CRIMINALS. Why would they care? If you received one call, you will receive many more. If the caller ID is unknown or seems suspicious, it is probably criminal.
They aren't a company, just a network of criminals looking to steal personal information - identity theft - and etc. Please report to the Do Not Call List, The FTC, FCC or to your State's Attorney Generals Office. Reporting here helps others, but let the law know so they can take action. And trust me they are aware and reporting actually works.
Know the criminal calling signs. If the caller ID is suspicious or unknown or out of area, igore it. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER BACK, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS, Dont bother blocking, the criminals will use another number, DO NOT EVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, EVER. Know your laws, telemarketing robo calls are illegal. Warn others, especially the elderly and REPORT EVERY SINGLE CALL. Just never give out name, address, social, or any banking or credit card information over the phone. KNOW YOUR LAWS, State and Federal, you have that right. Telemarketing scams are on the rise and these criminals are desperate and relentless.
Report, WARN, and Ignore. NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE!
Good Luck! Google Home security scam for more information or visit FBI or FCC home page.
Caller I.D. said APPOINTMENT. Security System call. Yeah right. Tell them you're a police officer (or better yet, tell them you're a federal agent) and see how fast they hang up. You can't stop these calls but you can have fun with them. My favorite is to answer the phone and then lay it down, off the hook. This ties the phone up on their end. Another favorite trick is using my trusty whistle.
Everyone I know gets these same calls: Either CARD SERVICES or APPOINTMENT. And daily! How can we expect our federal government to keep up with the number of calls being made. If they call everyone as much as they call me and my relatives/friends, imagine the volume! No one could keep up with this! They never call from the same number twice so I'm sure it's impossible to trace these scammers down.
Same as other callers -- guy trying to sell his security junk. Told the man masquerading his caller id is a violation of federal law. He hung up. Number is now blocked, will never ring through.
We have our house on the market, so when I saw "appointment", I thought it was the listing service. Dude trying to sell me some security system. When I told him we already had one, he hung on me.
I got the same caller id "appointment" with the number 607-203-5506. I just do not answer numbers I dont recognize anymore. I get on here and look up the numbers tho.
