If you're "forced" to use those tactics, you're not a debt collector. You're a Fraud. A Criminal. A Conman. A Parasite. A self-serving, poor excuse for a human being. Simple as that. Skeffa Ett Liv!
Caller left message on cell and work, Eric Johnson - need to serve me legal papers at my job after court filing, then paper will be sent to work for garnishment. "His firm" which doesn't have a name. Called local authorities no one has filed anything against me. # doesn't come up in google or yahoo searches. Wants to settle out of court
I'm sure that Susan pays her bills. She just doesn't fork over her money to frauds....like you.
Now scuttle back to your cubicle and get back to work. You're here, so your "busy day at the office" is coming to an end. And you haven't scammed squat.
Admin Edit: "It's a FAKE comment!"

Eric I am sorry, Thank you for accepting my payment for my defaulted Chase credit card and giving me a 50 % settlement! I know can rest easy knowing this wasnt a scam.
Donald, your reading comprehension is below average even by the usual standards of "pay your debt" trolls on this site. That's a remarkable achievement, though not a commendable one.
The fact is that Susan stated very clearly she confirmed with the authorities that this is a scam. Quite a common one these days, I'm afraid: people pretending to be legitimate debt collectors and using lies about "warrants", "summons", and "lawsuits" to frighten people into paying money they don't owe.
I mention these details only for the benefit of others who might stumble upon this thread, of course. *You* know exactly how this extortion scam works, don't you "Donald"? (Wink, Wink)
