Didn't ask to speak to me then female robo voice said there were multiple federal warrants for me and if I don't call back, I will be arrested. Long pause then a male robo voice said I will not get another call from the number. SCAM!
Automated call left message stating "Requires your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a Magistrate Judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. Now this is the final attempt to reach you. To know your case number and to speak to a federal agent call back on 607-233-4531."
OMG I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with a man claiming to be an IRS agent and he offered to settle the case for me if I pay $3980.55 to an agent that will come to my house by 1pm today...It was very scary at first but I sniffed this out as a scam. They would not provide any documentation or information other than to say I would be arrested if I do not comply within 2 minutes and agree to their terms. WOW! Almost had me!
Since I got Caller ID I don't answer any call I don't recognize, as I am 87yrs old. Caller left the same message about my being arrested and to call back on 607-233-4531
I also received a second call with the same threatening message. Although I recognize this as an attempted scam, the call was, nevertheless, creepy and scary. Perhaps the scumbags target seniors in my age group because we are vulnerable.
I also just got the same call as everyone above this is annoying people beware don''t be scammed it was left on phone and starts talking when answered so not sure what the beginning of message says. I went to my answer machine since I also screen all calls.
