Anyway, I don't think we in the States can get a "GE Money Bank" product anymore since the Q4 2011 rebranding to "GE Capital Retail Bank". The "Money" moniker does remain valid in Eastern and Northern Europe and Moscow. That narrows down where the scammers live.
Oh, and those Green Dot / Wal-Mart MoneyCard prepaid swipe cards that phone scammers the world over are always demanding? GE Capital issues them, and will through 2015 by agreement. The real GE as a credit card and business lender is known to be a royal pain to its customers, and fairly sue-happy when it's done jerking them around.
While the shills here are blowing smoke and probably not affiliated, they and GE Capital are kindred spirits.
