I have an add on Craig's list. Never called always used text. Insisted I set up a pay pall account so he could pay me for my merchandise. He insisted it was the only way he could pay for it. The second I mentioned cash he was gone. SCAM!!!

I just a call from that number as well regarding an add on Craigslist. This person will not give me any info about how they plan to pick up the item for sale and wants to pay now via PayPal. I live in AZ and this is an out of state caller from a google number that won't accept voice, only texts. Weird.
I got the type of text that is an obvious scam from this number. Says he needs to use paypal to pay for a 1966 truck, which is for sale in Eugene, OR. Here's his text message:
"Thanks or getting back to me. is this legit?..are you the first owner. is it in good condition? and did you have all the papers with you, but the issue is that am not around i would have come and see it. i will like more pics and get back to me with Your Picked Up Location Address. So I will be paying you via PayPal and i will be responsible for the shipping."
They asked, "are you the first owner?" Now really, come on, it's a 1966 truck. What an idiot scam! My personal scam rating is: EXTREMELY WEAK SCAM, GET A JOB, ANY JOB, BECAUSE YOU ARE A LOUSY SCAMMER.
Same thing here for me. had an craiglist ad and he said he wanted to buy my car for his son birthday gift. he asked me to provide him with my paypal email address for him to make payments. hever ask how he will get the car from me. and he claims he work for marines as a bioogist and he is alway in the sea. i believe this is a SCAM
