A man with an Indian accent informed me that 'My home computer had been sending error messages'. Since I was at work, this was interesting. He said he had the license number of my computer, so I asked him to give it to me (I was not at my desk at the time and of course would not enter anything for him.) He would not, just kept repeating that 'he has the information and would I please sit in front of my computer'. I told him that we have a very strong IT company and would he be interested in calling them if there is a problem? Needless to say, he was not interested, and hung up after saying, "I will have to block your computer." Do NOT give them information, and DO NOT let them scare you!
It's a scam. They have a pakistani accent and they give out fake names like John lol I always say no no what is your REAL name "john" and the one time they guy actually said his name and no it was not John hahaha and I say don't you have better things to do than scam people? I tell them I have already reported their number to the police and they hang up. I just had another one call me same thing, but this time trying to sell me solar panels and all you can hear in the background is a bunch of indian or pakistani speaking people. I hope they all get busted. Looser land..
