Received call today at 12:57pm from "Agent Jones" of the tax audit dept. of the IRS. It's only been 7 working days since tax filing deadline and I'm being audited already. The government doesn't work that fast. The sad thing is, some people fall for this BS.

A person claiming to be Officer Alex Parker (but with a very strong South Asian accent) called to say that I've been audited by the IRS, and that an outstanding warrant for my arrest has been issued unless I pay $5,680.30 today. After a while he transferred my call to his "higher authority", Eli Foster, who had an American accent. This Eli Foster then told me that I had to go to the bank right away, withdraw the said amount of money, and go to a location to make an electronic federal tax payment system (EFTPS) payment. He further said that I cannot inform anyone about this, not a lawyer, not my family, not any court.
Received a call from this number advising that a warrant would be serviced within 2 hrs and that a previous notice had been left on our door. They further advised that we have 7 different charges.
