I NEVER EVER answer my phone to an unrecognized caller/number. It's amusing to see what these tele-scummers will do to attempt to fool someone into answering their phone. When you see a number that says, "Not Available", or some State showing in the caller ID we all know that whoever is calling ISN'T a friend - so for the most part, we don't answer the phone. When we don't answer the phone that cost the slime balls time....and time is money. Then "they" get the idea, "Say, lets put a bogus name in so the caller id will show it's coming from a person, this way, we can get the homeowner to answer their phone which gives us an opportunity to take their money or steal their ID". Again, as with unrecognized numbers, I also NEVER EVER answer my phone to an unrecognized name. If the caller is legitimate, they WILL leave a message. As with this call, the caller ID says the call is coming from "ITI ERIN LUNDY". Since I don't know Erin Lundy they can leave a message. Imagine that, no message. If only ALL of us would just let unrecognized calls go to voice mail, the days of telemarketing would disappear. Telemarketing is a big money business. However, like any business, if no one buys their product, they will go out of business. Let's all help them go out of business.
