This call is from a relay opereator. You are being called by a deaf person or someone using a Captioned Telephone. The reason you heard a ring back is because the operator was linking your call back to the caller.

This is a number linked to a closed captioned Sprint phone service for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. I use this number frequently as I am hard of hearing.
yes this is a free service provided by Hamilton CapTel and how it works is you pull up the Hamilton Captel web site onto your computer and enter your user name and password then you enter your own Phone # and then the number you want to call. Hamilton CapTel rings your phone and you answer it and then it rings the person you are calling. What this does is, it puts on your moniter screen what ever the person you are calling talking message. so if you as a hard of hearing person cannot quite understand you can follow along on the monitor screen. As a profound deaf person I use this all the time when I am calling someone or doing business over the phone. The only drawback is it is delayed about 1 to 2 seconds so I usually tell the other party I am using this software and let them know there is a delay. Thanks for whoever developed this software!!
