Received a call on June 13, 2014, from 608-807-5992 asking for a donation to the Breast Cancer Society. Did not give my credit card number over the phone, although they (Amanda and Eric) said the credit card would speed up needed help to those sick with this cancer.
They called asking for donations to help diagnose breast cancer. I told them I was sorry not to be able to contribute, but that I would volunteer to do examinations and check patients for lumps. All they had to do was send them over to my home. They hung up.
Don't get our undies in a bunch about this one. Charities, even fake ones, are exempt from "Do Not Call" laws. Just get a call blocking device if you have a land line.
I live in Appleton, WI, these scammers are still in operation, still breast cancer, said would send me forms after whining about resources and saving the planet. I will repost again if any "forms" actually show up in my mailbox.
