>> The gov hasn't accomplished one thing yet with registering your number on the National Do Not Call list <<
You now have at least TWO options. Select one or both.
1) Obtain a call blocker, and try real hard to learn how to use it.
2) Try even harder to educate yourself. It appears your understanding of the Do Not Call list is ... faulty. Here is a short summary of the facts, using small words to fit your intellect:
1. The DNC list is NOT a call blocker!
2. The DNC list is used by honest telemarketers, to avoid calling people who do not want to be called.
3. Scammers and spammers do not care ... those criminals call anybody.
4. The DNC list is NOT a call blocker! (Just in case you missed reading #1)
609-212-9900 is NOT a current or valid number. Some AZZholes are using software to fool your TELCO's switching center to think that its coming from 212-9900. Number spoofing is the name of the game; welcome to the 21st Century New age of communication..../sarc
609-212-9900 has been calling my landline for over 2 months day and night. Sometimes, they leave a message Hello, Hello and it sounds like water in the background. This week, one night a woman's voice called out my mother's name saying is this you, ____________. The next night it sounded like someone from the Phillipines or overseas called and called out my mothers full name and stated my home address. I called Verizon today and they said I could block the call and gave me a number but I think the last time I used this number to block it did not work. Verizon said they did not have any other blocking service I could provide but news articles this week mentioned Verizon, AT&T and others were coming out with blocking services. Verizon did not know of any other type of service that they offer.
This is getting pretty scarey and if it continues, I will have to call my local Police.
