It was a liar impersonating to a former Veteran to raise money for the Veteran War Association I said no Sorry, He was asking for my husband, No this time I hung up.
nut job!!! wanted to speak to the man or the lady of the house. I said who wants to know. I told him to shut the hell up !! He closed the phone right away.
Got a call from this number last night when I was in the middle of cooking dinner. He asked for my husband but it sounded like a per-recorded response message. When I said he wasn't home form work yet he paused then asked for the man or the lady of the house. I asked why and then he paused again then said "maybe you can help me then, I'm a Veteran and I'm looking for donations...." I hung up after that.
This person tried to get my father on the phone, and when I said he wasn't there, he immediately hung up. When he called back, he said he was home of the "veterans home of america" and is asking for donations for veterans. Funny that I am a veteran myself, and they are trying to scam people into thinking they are helping needy veterans when they are not. I asked the guy on the phone a question about the military and he had no clue even though he claimed to be a retired Master Sergeant in the Army in 2008. I would think that he should have known a basic question related to the Army then, don't you think? (My question: What AR covers Uniforms?) His answer first was, "what is an AR"? LOL Are you serious! That stands for Army Regulation, which any person in the Army would have known...then he said, I'm not sure, I think it is #400.
It is AR 670-1 in actuality, which ANYONE in the Army, whether retired or not, would know! Especially someone with a rank of Master Sergeant!! I can MAYBE understand not knowing if he was 80-something years old, but not at 45-50 years old and having just retired!
