This number is my old business number that I turned into a remote call forwarding number 4.5 years ago. Now all calls to that number automatically forward to me current business number. I get several calls a month from folks who are returning a call from this number, they find the number on their caller ID, or there's been a message left about a possible job [in this economy, that's just plain evil!].
I believe that a marketing firm in the Princeton, NJ area has picked up on this number and is now using it as the caller ID number but there's no way that I can prove anything and a call to the marketing firm simply got flat out refusals that they had anything to do with it.
Anyone have any ideas of how I can reverse this onto them and have a bit of fun at the same time?
Marketing firms call and send mail to get your opinions on subjects relevant to their clients. OK, they only SAY they want your opinion. What they really want personal information about you, so their clients have the advantage in selling to you. Sometimes they're really pretexting to get certain personal information. I used to get calls about radio stations, but it was really the company that bought out and shut down my former employer to see if I had found work yet.
