Got a call from these people tonight. They wanted to conduct a survey about Wikileaks. Had it not been about Wikileaks I would have told them to blow but I'm an enthusiastic Wikileaks admirer so I asked them who was funding the survey. The guy said he worked for B&R Interviewing (again) as if I had asked him that. That is the standard reply to that question from any phone survey co. He offered to let me speak to a supervisor and ask him which I did. The supervisor claimed not to know who had hired them and he's probably telling the truth. Anyway, I did take the survey figuring that, no matter who was paying them, I would be unlikely to provide them with a data point to use against Wikileaks. The interview was short, involved relevant and reasonable questions and the guys was polite. I hope I can forgive myself for doing this. I never answer these things unless they are willing to reveal the sponsor and they never reveal the sponsor. Here's to Wikileaks and all other subversives.
They claimed to be conducting a survey about diabetes. The first couple of questions were related to diabetes. Then they actually asked me about my net worth. I told her to find someone else to scam.
You can contact the Attorney General's office. You have to use the state where the business originates. I may consider if I receive more calls.
