I have received several calls from this number claiming to be police officers and threatening to file charges against me if I do not give them my banking information. He claims I took out a loan with some company I have never heard of on the internet. He has given me three different names and claims he is a police officer but when I ask him for some type of proof he gets very hostile. He also has called my work demanding that my boss give him my banking information and when she refused he threatened her as well.
The same thing happened to me except when
I asked him to mail me some information he got hostile also. First his name was Joshua and when I returned that call his name was Michael. Something needs to be done about this.
I too have been receiving calls from this person saying that he is from the Cash Advance Motherboard stating I have several outstanding loans with cash advance lenders and I must send a fax authorization with my bank information so they can settle the matter. He also said that if I do not do this they will report me and I will be charged with several charges by my state. When I asked him to give me the names of the companies I owe he said "you know who you owe" and when I asked him for the number to my courthouse to confirm he said he couldn't do that. He also would not provide me with a corporate headquarters number or a website.He danced around every question I asked which leads me to believe this is a scam. Be careful!! Don't let them scare you!
This number called our business and left a voice mail about a payment that needs to be made or else they were going to take "drastic measures". I tried calling back since the person they were looking for no longer works here anymore. This is some sort of scam since when I tried to call them back there was no voice mail and nobody picked up. I tried 15 times throughout the day from morning to night. Everybody beware of this, they are trying to scam you.
