just got a call from this number saying they had records that I was at least 90 days late in my mortgage payment. Asked him where he got this info. Public records he said. WHAT Public records? Vital stats he said. And just property is this pertaining to? He stated my address. Told him it was amazing to ME because I have NEVER been even 30 days late much less 90! He just said he'd take my number off their list and he hung up. Not even a sorry or good bye!!
I also got a call from this number and two other numbers that all belong to American Hardship Group. I talked to the Supervisor (person answering my return call was supposedly a supervisor). First they gave me an attitude for being upset about receiving their calls when I told them that whoever they were looking for was not me besides my phone is registered to me and not whoever was late on their mortgage.
They said that they will deactivate my number in their system (for the third time). I will let you know if that worked tomorrow.
I worked for this company a while back. First of all I must say that if you miss one payment, then borrow some money and get caught up. Lets not forget that most buyers knew that they could not afford the mortgage inthe first place. People started to feel really comfortable not paying their note. Most people can do the "Comprehensive Discovery Package" themselves. And that is what you want to ask these telemarketers. How long will this take? The general answer is, it takes any where between sixty days to three months before the issue is resolved. That is the most common answer, but we know that is not true. That is how long it takes to do the audits. It can take up to a year or more @ $750.00 a month. You do not need a lawyer to do that for you as it is a matter of public record. Ask them about the verbage that they use. Explain in detail, what the difference is Between "Loan Modification" and a so called "Restructure". They say they do not do "LoanMods". One thig I do know is that no one is restructuring loans today! That is a very fine line and a very gray area.
