The same thing happened to me today! I answered, spoke with a woman for a moment, and then suddenly the line sounded as if another had crossed it and it cut off.
This number calls constantly but never leaves a message. This has been going on for weeks. I have had enough so I answered today, and a woman proceeded to tell me that I am a finalist for Publisher's House Sweepstakes but she never asked whom she was speaking with to confirm my identitly, a total red flag. Suggestion - don't ever give your name if they ask whom they are speaking with!!! When I answered the call, why didn't she ask to speak with "so and so" right off the bat.
She sounded "official" and I could hear other operators in the background as she was talking. She even went so far as to say that the call was being recorded for quality assurance. This went on for about 2 more mins and then the line was disconnected. Obviously a scam and do not give them any personal information! Better yet, don't answer if this number calls!

Called me twice today, once at 11;54am and then again at 4:11pm. Neither time did I answer the call and neither time was any message left. 609 is a NJ area code and I know no one in NJ.
The number called me 8 times today and no message was left, when I tried to call back the line won't ring. Thank you everyone for the information I am blocking the number.
