I received a call from this number making threats to me that they have an signed affadavit claiming I had a payday loan that was deposited to my bank account and that when they tried to get the money back they could not because the bank account was closed. They also have my social security number and said they would contact my employer GreenGlobal which is a company I never worked for and is no longer in business, They made threats that I will be arrested, charges will be filed for theft by deception and several erroneous threats. I would not answer any of there questions or give them any information and I am reporting this phone to the State Attorney Generals Office. In addition, over the past several weeks I have been swamped every day with offers from payday loan companies to my email and cell phone. How I do not and how they have my ssn number I do not know. I could make the name of the company out when I called the number back, but it is "_______ Lawsuits" and it sounds like a phone bank of c/s people in the back ground who are all from India or some foreign country that you can hardly understand.
Yes this company is a fraud and they are using the name DELVANIES LAW FIRM. However, when googled, it appears as DELVANY LAW FIRM with several different numbers which are not land line number but cell phone numbers. They have and these numbers have been reported and are under investigation and being tracked by the FTC, BBB and reports have been filed with local, state and federal authorities. Beware.
Yes. I often get a call from this number and I ignore it. When I check the voice mail I had to listen several times to figure out what the Hindu was saying. Claimed they had my social security number and that it was some legal matter. Well first of all I respond to nothing where I cannot understand what they are saying first time around. And lastly unless I get it on paper in the mail with notarization and real signatures or whatever then it means nothing to me. Just ignore it. What goes around comes around and there is a day coming when the scam will be on them. I promise that.
I have received several calls from this number, asking for the name of my lawyer. I asked why and they said that there was a lawsuit against me. When I asked them what lawsuit, they told me that they could not tell me, they could only tell my lawyer. I asked them to give me the name and number of their business so I could call them back, as a way to verify they are an actual business. All of a sudden, the caller became extremely rude and began swearing at me. He told me it is none of my business what the name of his company is and I just need to tell him what he is asking for; otherwise, he was going to call the police. I told him since he wouldn't give me any information, I wasn't going to give him any. I asked him not to call me anymore. I still received three additional calls, none of which I answered.
