The guy with indian accent asked me, is this Mrs. Laura? I said who is this? he said: No english? I asked again who is this? and then he hanged up the phone. Weirdo............
We keep getting these calls from various different numbers. All of the callers have heavy indian accents. They all start by saying our "Windows Computer" has sent error messages. When I realized these people are full of crap & just scam artists I decided to play around a bit. Sometimes if I recognize the number I answer saying "NYPD Police Dept". That always makes me laugh! If I don't recognize the number (they use more than 1 phone number) then as soon as they say they're calling about our "windows" I then act stupid & engage them in conversation about different kinds of windows ie...storm windows, Anderson windows, screens for windows...anything that keeps them hanging on the phone & irritating them back. But on a serious note they are trying to get remote access to your computers to hack it, get personal information & ruin your credit report not to mention your computer. Beware...they are scammers!!!
Been getting these calls for a while, first Monroe Township 609-409-0701, and now it has switched to a Ohio cell phone number 216-326-6861. Finally answered it and an Indian male said he was from Microsoft Technical Support. I said, "Yeah, let me talk to Bill Gates." Then I hung up. This is really irritating. My mother, who was in her 90's and used her computer, used to get these phone calls. I only found out when I was at her place one day and happened to answer the phone. I hate it when the elderly are taken advantage of.
