The female caller, sounded like it was an off-shore call, told me that I would be receiving 15% off of my next and then subsequent PSE&G bills. She said that I didn’t need to do anything to obtain the rebate and then she provided me my name and address for verification and then began asking for information from my PSE&G bill. I informed her that I was uncomfortable providing this information over the phone and asked that since they had my address, to send this via the mail, so I can verify with PSE&G that this was legitimate. She tried pressing for information from my bill, I reiterated for her to mail the info and then she hung up.
609-427-2342 calls many times, I ignore any caller ID I do not know. will prob get rid of land line because of this. these companies or persons ignores the do not call registry, has anyone else noticed an uptick in robo calls in August? it seems to pick up with increased use of the internet searching. Wondering if someone sold our phone numbers to these companies or numbers are hacked via use of internet info..just a thought.
Also if anyone else is getting sick of these calls, CVS is selling Magic Jack plus for 49.99, Might be a good message to send to Verizon by canceling your land lines and picking up a Magic jack plus and dumping Verizon, no need for computer with the Plus. just plug it in wall outlet. If NSA can monitor Verizon customers how come they cant stop ROBO calls for people on the do not call registry?
