The Democrat Party calling to blame the GOP for every evil on the earth, right down to the common cold. Unless the fellow teachers team up to defeat every Republican, we will loose everything and the world as we know it will end. The story is often so ridiculous, it is almost laughable. I guess the Democrats have resorted to appealing the the uninformed by spooking the herd to the polls. When we tell them that their pitch is cheap demagoguery, they say goodbye and call back later with a similar pitch. The fact that mandatory union dues are going to support this crap really ticks me off too, but that is another story. Time to re-register as an independent and maybe the political calls will stop (ha).

Actually, no. You are incorrect. The call was for one democratic candidate for NJ senator, not the entire party. There was no blaming of the GOP or anything of that nature in the message. This call wasn't even from a teacher's union.
What you call "mandatory union dues " going "to support this crap" is also incorrect. Union dues cannot legally be used to actively support campaigns. This is against the law. Candidate endorsements from organizations like the NJEA (not 100% sure about the AFT) are made only after the following criteria are met:
1. The candidate responds to NJEA's questionnaire on the issues
2. The candidate's positions are aligned with those of the organization
Given the fact that many Republican candidates do not even respond elimnates any chance for an endorsement. The NJEA has endorsed Republicans in the past and will continue to do so in the future providing the criteria are met. There is no blanket blame on the GOP that is funded by your union dues.
The only thing worse than a union basher who has never known what it's like to be in a union is a union basher who is actually reaping the benefits from being a member and spreading misinformation due to his or her own ignorance. I implore you to educate yourself before you spew nonsense again.
There's no such thing as the Democrat Party in New Jersey or anywhere else, for that matter. It's the Democratic Party. Also, I'm not sure how we would "loose" everything, since I'm sure I tightened everything the other day.
