Had something for sale on Craig's list. Got email through craigslist from Scott Bailey with the phone number 856 462 3130 I called it with my cell phone. No answer but I left my landline phone number. Within a very short time both phones were ringing. The landline does not have caller ID so I don't answer. It is set for 2 rings and the answer machine pics up a says that I will pick up if I am home and to start speaking. No one ever responds but the phone kept ringing. Every couple hours for a week or two. The cell phone showed the number 609 555 1818 , I never picked and they left no voice mail. Now 3 weeks later and no more calls from that number.
Just received 4th call in 15 minutes from this number - finally answered last call - lots of noise and commontion in background - repeatedly asked who was calling, and could not understand the lady with a heavy Indian accent. Annoying.
A political survey company. I answered the questions taking about 12 minutes of my time. The only downside is the survey taker was from India and very difficult to understand resulting in many repeated questions.
They just called me but then hung up. It's a number from New Jersey. Just so happens one day ago my bank called me to report that someone in New Jersey was trying to use my debit card so I had to destroy card and report fraud. Not sure if they are connected or just coincidental. I'm in AZ
