I received a call from this number on my landline.
It was the same as what Folsac stated above.
Except that I told him to go have sex with himself.
He said "I don't understand how to do this."
So I told him what to place where.
He hung up on me.
Mission accomplished.
I searched around a bit and the name and number that they used seems to be a legitimate residential listing.
Didn't recognize caller, Cynthia Clauss, but it look like a legitimate name so I answered. A male with an Indian sounding accent said he was calling from the "Windows Technical Department ". As soon as I heard that I knew it was one of those calls. I told him he really needed to find a real job and to stop ripping people off, and I hung up. It now llooks like they're calling using numbers with an innocuous looking name on the display in order to get people to answer.
They're spoofing numbers in hopes you will do exactly what you did - answer the phone. The best thing to do, if at all possible, is not answer calls from unknown numbers, even if there's an "innocuous looking name" on the CID. If it's important they'll leave a message. If they don't, it's not worth your time. And never call them back if they don't leave a message. Again, no message = not important & not worth your time.

Called here and didn't leave a message. We are on the Do Not Call List. We still get so many calls that we have our phone on 2 rings before it goes to the answering machine. The name was similar to a neighbors name.Appears they are adapting their tactics to get people to answer their phone.
