This guy called me from A1 collection agency. I gave them the insurance information that I had at the time, he tells me that it has been over a year so that's my problem now and I have to pay the bill I informed him that I wasn't aware of this bill and informed him it was my cell phone okay he became very rude and hung up. I called back and asked to speak to his supervisor I informed her of how rude he was and she was no better. She was worse than he was because as soon as she got on the phone she had an attitude. I tried to explain the situation to her anyway. She cared nothing about what I was saying. Dana O'Hara (Collection manager) again I tried to inform them that it had to be a mistake because my bills are covered 100%, so I asked for the corporate office she tells me, there is no corporate office and that is my problem and I should just pay this hospital bill. I have Medicare and Medicaid that pays 100% of my hospital bills. She said since it's been over a year I have to pay the bill I again informed her that I was on a fixed income and they would have to contact Medicare and Medicaid because I submitted the insurance information when I receive the service. The people at this agency is just rude then I hung up with her and call back so I can get someone else that had a least a little bit of good sense and she basically answered the phone again, using my name as soon as she answered the phone I guess to informed me that no one could do anything. I called the 800 # to get someone else and the operator Diane said you was talking to the Collections Manager to let me know that they are all in with each other and no matter how many times I try to speak with someone else it will never be taken care of and they don't have to answer to anyone. Could someone please tell me who I can contact to complain about this because this was not my fault, I had no knowledge of this bill, and I feel totally disrespected and belittled. They should not be able to get away with this and I am not going to let it go.
A message was left that if their calls weren't returned they would send a sheriff and the police to my house. (Last call,of many, was recieved on Sept 17, 2007. Also 609-771-9288 shows up on Caller ID.)
got a miss call in the morring, i call the number back, the person did not wanted to give any info on them but they wanted my last name. i am going to see if can report thm to my phone comp.
