Half tempted to reply "Still working for the CA Attorney General's Office in their fraud division. I have some New Jersey colleagues who would LOVE to meet you!" I don't work for the AG, but sure would be fun to mess with them.

Got a message with the same script as seen by others. It is indeed creepy that they got the first name right. Apparently that's all they have, or they would not be phishing for additional info.
