If you are going to refer them to a fast food number, pick out a place that features bacon cheeseburgers and that says it out loud when they answer the phone. That may embarrass your caller in front of their fellow coworkers enough to make them think twice about calling you again.
Another scam. thick accent with American name claiming they will arrest me for not paying a loan (that does not exist). 3 calls today from different numbers. SCAM
This number has called me several times over the last couple of weeks. The gentleman stated I must pay money over the phone or l was going to be prosecuted. The individual called me with two (2) different names. Mr Davis and Eric Williams.
got a call from a person with strong arabic acent saying i was due to be aqrrested due to a pay day of 8000 dollars saying i looking at 10 years in jail i tols them fbi said they a scam and they hung up
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I too received a call matter of fact around 6 of them, I told the guy I had no loans and to stop calling and I knew this was a SCAM, advised the guy that I in fact work for ATTORNEY. So I proceeded to get information and the guy's reply was have attorney call, then he started cursing me out. That was hilarious I told him I was enroute to the police station and to please continue on talking to me in that way,Needless to say as of yet I have not heard back from them. But this is definately a scam I told him to get out of that basement making these BOGUS calls!!!!
