I think other folks on this website do that sometimes - call the scammers just based on the numbers reported here to see what kind of info they can get. I ought to just try that.
I received a call from the number 609-986-2519 on August 5 at 1:42 p.m. Central Daylight Time that went to my voicemail. The message on my voicemail was incomplete and sounded like a prerecorded non-female human voice message. However the message did state it was from a "Kelly Watson from the IRS." When I called the number to find out more information, their telephone at first just rang and rang numerous times. When they finally picked up there was a lot of crowd background noise making it difficult to hear the male voice on the line; however, it sounded like he said "IRS." I said "Hello" a number of times because I was not sure if he could hear me because of the background noise on his telephone and then the telephone connection was terminated. When I called the number again, their telephone just rang and rang; they did not answer it.
Automated message saying that they're 1 of 3 people--Kelly Watson seems to be the name most frequently used. The IRS will never contact a person by phone; they're website specifically states so. They will only ever contact you by mail.
Got a message from Kelly Watson of the IRS today 8/9. I won't call them back. So sick of scammers. I hate them wish a passion and wish I could say what I'd do to them on here but I'd probably get in trouble ;)
